Documenting Engagement is a project of the Pacific Cinematheque, developed and presented with the assistance of The Roundhouse Community Centre Association and the donation of professional support from two[2]cats.working inc.

The Documenting Engagement Institute will bring together eight Canadian artists working in the field of community engaged arts for 3 weeks at the end of January 2004. The artists will be from a variety of disciplines and will be financially supported to travel to Vancouver and participate in the Institute.

The goals of the Institute are to increase the capacity for digital video documentation amongst the attending artists, to produce a suite of short documentaries about current community arts practices and to increase understanding and support of this field through screenings and distribution of the resulting videos.

Deadline for artist's applications to the Institute is September 13, 2003
